Javier A. Reyes

As an avid outdoorsmen, boater, and motorcyclist, Javier understands that knowing where you are and where you want to go are the essential building blocks of topnotch legal representation. And when he’s not testing his endurance outdoors or riding his adventure motorcycle cross country, Javier puts his endurance to the test on behalf of his clients, helping them address the uphill and unexpected challenges of owning a business and the twists and turns of litigation.

Prior to founding Bell Rosquete Reyes, PLLC, Javier worked at Hogan Lovells and Boies Schiller Flexner where he represented Fortune 500 companies in international arbitration, federal-court litigation, products liability defense, and sensitive internal investigations. Javier understands that business owners are creative at heart and passionate about the businesses they operate. It is for this reason that he views himself as a legal counselor first and foremost and relishes the opportunity to truly understand his clients’ businesses and collaborate with them to develop novel, efficient and winning legal strategies.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Javier worked as a CPA and owned several successful business ventures of his own in the liquor and advertising fields, giving him a concrete and unique appreciation for responsive, cost-effective, and impactful legal representation. Well-regarded for his business acumen and his ability to quickly assess the economic implications of a legal strategy on a business’s bottom line, clients have entrusted Javier with contentious partnership disputes and dissolutions as well as litigation that posed an existential threat to their businesses.

“At the beginning of every representation I like to ask myself, what level of commitment and concern would I want from a lawyer if I was in my client’s situation? If my business was in that situation? Then I work to be that lawyer. Nothing less is acceptable. Practicing law is more than a vocation, it’s more than a business, it’s more than a profession—it’s a passion. If you can’t be passionate about your responsibility to your client, you have no business representing them”
