Javier A. Reyes Organizes DCBA Judicial Luncheon with the Hon. John W. Thornton, Jr., “Practical Tips on Trying a Case in the Complex Business Litigation Division.”

As co-chair of the Dade County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Committee, Mr. Reyes organized a judicial luncheon with Judge John W. Thornton that was well attended by DCBA members. Past DCBA President, Steven Davis, moderated the event. The general focus of the luncheon was to better understand, from Judge Thornton’s perspective as a judge in the Complex Business Litigation Division, the effective tactics and techniques that litigants should employ when litigating in that division.

The Complex Business Litigation Division was created in 2006 to address the overwhelming number of complex business cases filed in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. The purpose of the division is to promote the orderly and efficient disposition of complex business matters.  Both Mr. Reyes and Mr. Rosquete have extensive experience litigating cases in the division.
