The University of Florida has a spring break class that they organize in South Florida. This full day class involved segments on the diplomatic and regulatory changes in Cuba along with an excellent representativo by Arnaldo Perez the General Counsel for Carnival Corporation regarding his experiences with Cuba. Mr. Reyes, in addition to coordinating and preparing all of the material for the class including a reading list for the student, taught the segment on handling a complex international commercial cases using perhaps the biggest and most complex case in history, the multifaceted action filed by Chevron in the United States against a group of sophisticated domestic and foreign lawyers attempting to enforce false claims against that corporation. Using examples from this history 19 billion dollar case, Mr. Reyes guided the students regarding the many complexities that can arise in litigating international cases and managing international litigation from the United States.
